ABOUT ME

Picture3467890p.jpg

After serving in the United States Navy and returning home I recognized a need and took action. As the Founder and CEO I established the Mahoning/Trumbull County affiliate in 2001, a process that required about a year to gain approval. History dates back to 1996 when Nancy Ludlin a law student, received a 5,000 inheritance from her great-grandfather. She decided to transform this gift into one lasting impact. Collaborating with three nuns in her area, she identified an unfulfilled critical need and founded Dress for Success in the basement of a Manhattan church the same year. From its humble beginning, the mission of Dress for Success expanded throughout North American and eventually across the globe, addressing the universal challenge women face in achieving economic independence, regardless of their location, language, customs or culture. Dress for Success Warren Youngstown became an affiliate in 2002 and has since been serving the Mahoning County area, impacting over 22000 women through its services. Following the challenges posed by Covid-19 the affiliate began operating independently under the name “Dress 4 Success Office “Beyond the Business Suit” Dress for Success Warren Youngstown continues its impactful work.
